Although we are temporarily suspending in-person worship until further notice, we do have to keep track of clergy, acolytes and others who help conduct our live-streamed Mass, and all those who may otherwise enter St. John’s with permission for business or other such purposes, so we ask all those who enter St. John’s to please fill out this form every time you enter St. John’s Church, for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes. It’s important to fill out the correct date and time when you are in the church. If for some reason you are filling out the form at a different time than you are actually in the church, please note any discrepancy in the field marked “Notes” at the bottom of the form.

St. John’s Capital Campaign
Thanks to generous community support, The Zabriskie Memorial Church of Saint John the Evangelist is undergoing much-needed restoration and repairs, celebrating a new roof in 2019 while planning for masonry updates in 2020, organ restoration and repairs to our 1740 Dennis House Rectory. We’re ready for you at St. John’s Church in Newport, RI. At the heart of our common life is the worship of God in the beauty of holiness, drawing from a deep well of ancient spiritual practices whose purpose is to engage all the senses in drawing our hearts, souls, and minds toward God. We worship so that we might grow in the love of God, and through the joy we find in our life in Christ, to share this new life with the world around us.
We’re ready for families at St. John’s. Through our chorister program for girls and boys, we are equipping young people for lives of character and service. We’re attentive to the needs of parents and children who are looking for something meaningful and formative, something our children can carry with them throughout their lives.
Here you will see people from all walks of life, working and praying together. We do our best, with God’s help, to bear each other’s burdens and to rejoice in each other’s giftedness as we care for each other. And we’re always seeking ways to engage our community and the world in Christ’s name.
We’re ready for you at St. John’s. Come and find out for yourself. We’re all on a journey together, as companions moving into the future that God has in store for us.
