St. John’s Church is located at 61 Washington St., Newport, RI (at the corner of Washington & Willow Streets). Its campus occupies nearly one city block along Washington Street facing the Newport waterfront, bordered by Poplar Street to the south and Willow Street to the north. The St. John’s campus includes the 1894 Church proper, the St. John’s Guild Hall (St. John’s former church building) at 61 Poplar St., the 1832 Grafton House on Poplar, named for Bishop Charles Chapman Grafton, and the 1740 Dennis House Rectory at the corner of Poplar and Washington.
Our parking lot is located opposite 25 Willow St. by GPS.

TO GET TO ST. JOHN’S FROM THE NORTH AND EAST
Follow Routes 24 then 114 (West Main Road) south on Aquidneck Island into Newport, where it becomes Broadway.
After the Newport Police Department and City Hall, bear right onto Marlborough Street.
Turn right at the first light onto America’s Cup Boulevard.
Turn left on Poplar Street (crossing the railroad tracks), and follow it to the water (You will pass the church’s grounds on the right).
Turn right onto Washington Street. St John’s is on the right, at the corner of Washington and Willow Streets.
FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST
Follow Route 138 east over the Newport Bridge (toll) onto Aquidneck Island.
Take the first (right) exit to Scenic Newport.
At the bottom of the ramp, bear right on Farewell Street.
Turn right at the first light onto Van Zandt Avenue, and follow it to the water.
Turn left onto Washington Street. Follow Washington Street south along the water.
Saint John’s is on the left, at the corner of Washington and Willow Streets.
Limited parking is available behind the church off Willow Street.
